All Time Greatest Songs: The greatest rock and roll songs ever recorded.

1) The Bohemian Rhapsody-Queen

It’s daring, fun and doesn’t fall short of bravado. Simply genious.

Simply the best

- Queen Lyrics

2)You Raise Me Up - Josh Groban

"This song has meaning to countless people for many reasons."

"very inspirational"

- Various Artists Lyrics

3)Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin

The poetic storytelling nature of Robert Plant’s lyrics combined with Jimmy Page’s brilliant musical composition places "Stairway To Heaven" as the number one rock song of all time. Mr. Page’s arrangement of a dramatic crescendo type development with the song passing through stages along the way lend to his (and John Paul Jones) influence by classical music. His guitar solo in this song is one of his greatest played with undeniable passion and ease. "Stairway To Heaven" is a legendary song composed and performed by the greatest rock musicians of all time, Led Zeppelin.

- Led Zeppelin Lyrics

4)Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

"This song is GREAT! THE BEST"

"Best... Song... Ever...!"

- Nirvana Lyrics

5)One - Metallica

Powerful, meaningful, and beautiful. Tells of one mans will to die after losing all five senses, arms and legs, and his entire face. One of the most creative songs ever.

- Metallica Lyrics

6)Imagine - John Lennon

'Imagine a united world without political borders, there would be no rich or no country’s it would we a wonderful life."
"A phenomenal song"

John Lennon will be remembered through history one of the most iconic figures in music history.

- John Lennon Lyrics

7)Barracuda - Heart

The singing, Guitar and Drums, in this song, make it one of the best ever.

Barracuda is the perfect rock song."

- Heart Lyrics

8)Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

The title itself, gives hope to life. And really great song, especially with Arnel singing it... Synergistic effect by the 5 band mates. Deen’s Drums, Neals, Guitar, Jon;s Keyboard, Ross’ Bass and Arnel's voice. Perfect combination.

- Journey Lyrics

9)Guns n Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

This is by far the best song I have ever heard. I mean, people, the solo Slash does.

- Guns 'N Roses Lyrics

10)Wonderwall - Oasis

"GREAT SONG"

Its an awesome song its one of my favorites and you can’t beat the people who made this song!

- Oasis Lyrics

Eminem

Posted by Sachin

Eminem's prolific song-writing is part of what makes him one of the greatest emcees of all time. Check out the Detroit MC's best 10 songs of all time.

10. "Remember Me" (feat. RBX & Sticky Fingaz) [Marshall Mathers LP]

Before quirky beefs tore them apart, Eminem and Onyx frontman Sticky Fingaz hooked up with erstwhile Death Row artist RBX for this concept gem. The chorus switches whenever a different MC grabs the mic, blending rhymes from songs like "No Mercy, No Remorse," "I'm Shady," and "Slam" to create the perfectly unorthodox posse cut.

9. "Sing for the Moment" [The Eminem Show]

Taking a page from Aerosmith's songbook, Marshall creates a sprawling eye-opener about the hazards of monkey-see-monkey-do. Over the backdrop of Joe Perry's piercing guitar strokes, Em quips: "They say music can alter moods and talk to you.

8. "Rock Bottom" [The Slim Shady LP]

Having lyrically enraged everyone, including his (now estranged) wife and his mom, you would least expect Eminem to have a soft spot in his heart. "Rock Bottom" has Em kicking his angry blonde image to the curb for a moment of introspection and self-pity, obviously penned at a time when life was "full of empty promises and broken dreams."

7. "We as Americans" [Encore B-Side]

Sure, Eminem initiated a shift towards political candidness on The Eminem Show, but this pre-"Mosh" thump truly solidified his no-holds-barred attitude. Over the backdrop of riveting piano loops, Em spites everyone from the police department to the president.

4. "Yellow Brick Road" [Encore]

The "N" word is already at the heart of a burning controversy within the African-American populace. So, imagine what the world's most famous white rapper was up against when a couple of kids came forth with a tape of him using the racial epithet. Rather than hop on a podium and yell "I'm not racist!," Em opted for a viable approach: a song indexing his upbringing in a pre-dominantly black Detroit neighborhood. "Yellow Brick Road" chronicles what that tape forgot to tell you.

3. "Guilty Conscience" (featuring Dr.Dre) [The Slim Shady LP]

With Dr. Dre posturing as the antithesis of Em's evil-minded conscience, both doctor and patient conceive a cure for dry hip-hop collaborations.

2. "The Way I Am" [Marshall Mathers LP]

No targets. No punching bags. Just Eminem defending his sheer existence as an unapologetic, foul-mouthed, lyrically-equipped artist who can't stand boy bands.

1. "Stan" (featuring Dido) [Marshall Mathers LP]

You only need to listen to "Stan" once before realizing that this ill-fated account of a psychotic Eminem worshipper is simply unforgettable. "Stan" unmasks a vulnerable Eminem, one that turns up the pathos several notches while barely raising his voice. Dido's ethereal crooning adds more soot to the tale.

AMERICAN IDOL NEWS

Chris Daughtry Chosen to Sing CNN Theme Song:

Former American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry has been chosen by CNN to provide the theme song for the network's League of First Time Voters initiative.

The song of choice? Foreigner's hit "Feels Like the First Time," of course.

"Getting to rerecord a classic song like this was a real honor for us, and we hope it helps inspire people to vote,” said Daughtry. "We strongly believe that it doesn’t matter who you vote for, as long as you vote."

Foreigner's Mick Jones, who wrote the song back in the late '70s, gave the Grammy-nominated band his seal of approval, saying their version is "very cool" and "more than captured the essence of the original."

The single, set to premiere on Campbell Brown: Election Center today will also appear on Daughtry's upcoming expanded version of its album, Daughtry Deluxe, due out September 9.

Michael Johns Released from Contract:

American Idol seventh season finalist Michael Johns has been released from the show’s restrictive contract that prevents finalists from being signed by other record labels.

Johns “asked to be released from the 19 Entertainment contract” and “19 agreed, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported this week.

The singer has already “been on two major labels and an indie” and now “plans to go on his own like Elliott Yamin and hopes to find distribution any way he can,” and “says he’s recorded eight songs (two songs by Diane Warren), most done before the tour started. He hopes to get 25 done by Thanksgiving and pick 12 for an album set to be released in January or February,” the newspaper added
.
It's a unique deal, but one that Johns is appreciate of.

“They said, ‘Look, we realize you’re 29 years old. Good luck.’ I was so thankful. I’ve been able to work and get things done instead of wait around,” Johns said, adding that he’s not going to a major label because “I want control back. It’s not like I need a label to get me noticed. This is one of my last shots to be in this situation.”

As to a producer, he said, “I can’t believe producers are returning my calls! Ultimately, we’ll write as much as we can then figure out what producer to stylize it. … It’s an album hopefully you can dance to, work out to, chill out to.”
David Archuleta Album to be Produced by Rock Mafia Records:

According to E! News, David Archuleta is working on songs for his debut album with Rock Mafia Records, the Santa Monica-based tune factory behind the Miley Cyrus hits "7 Things" and "See You Again."

Over the next couple of week weeks, E! reports that Archuleta will record at least two Rock Mafia-sanctioned songs that 19 Recordings and RCA Records are counting on to turn into hit singles, a source said.

"David knows he needs to have a big radio hit, and Miley's producers are the closest thing he can get to a guarantee."

David Archuleta's "Crush":

Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta is releasing his first post-Idol single, "Crush", digitally today and great reviews are pouring in. In fact, Entertainment Weekly notes that the single sounds "hip and contemporary". EW goes on to gush, " 'Crush' is good news for David, for his fans, and for the general health of the Idol Franchise." Congratulations David.

ZELCO  OUTI BONE CONDUCTING HEADPHONES

I must say this is the first time I’ve heard about the bone conduction headphones but although some people assures that this headphones have a lower quality than in-ear or traditional ones I think the idea is really good. This headphones work conducting the audio inside the ear through the skull bones, the result audio signal has the low frequencies emphasized, and can be used in very noisy environments.

The American company Zelco has released the Zelco Outi Bone Conducting Headphones that uses this technique and includes internal battery (that lasts up to 8 hours), 4-step vibration output switch (off, low, medium and high options), an attach clip, an USB cable and an AC adapter to charge the battery and a storage pouch.

Combining, for example, a guitar with a DSP and this bone conducting headphones, you can say that you feel your music inside. The Zelco Outi Bone Conducting Headphones are now available and their price is $110.
